This customizable seminar involves newly tenured faculty from across campus in a unique behind-the-scenes look at faculty careers and the academic organization in order to foster the tools and perspective that allow them to take a more active and intentional role as tenured faculty.

Typical Seminar Components

  • Developing the skills and perspective of a tenured member of the faculty
    Possible topics:
    • Mentoring
    • Evaluating peers for tenure
    • Making satisfying service and leadership choices
    • Understanding how scholarly risks change with tenure
    • Developing leadership skills and other necessary competencies
  • Dean's and Provost's Office participation, providing a unique opportunity to see the university from an administrative perspective.
  • An opportunity to develop colleagues and networks across schools and colleges.
